About Us

What all started as a father and son hobby 9 years ago has expanded steadily into our now commercial sized beekeeping operation. Little did we know that a few hives would turn into over 200+ here in the Northumberland region.

McColl Apiaries was established in 2022, but previously we were known as Willow Beach Honey selling from our road side stand in front of our home. 

McColl Apiaries is now run by Graham and Kayla McColl. Graham tends to the bee hives, extracts our glorious honey, and is the man behind all the labelling and graphic work. With Kayla running behind the scenes at the weekly farmers markets as well as creator of our candles, wax melts, soaps, and more. 

As many of our regulars know, Malcolm and Cassandra McColl were a big part of Willow Beach Honey, but have since started the very well known gymnastics gym known as EPIC, here in Port Hope. 

Being a family run business we have our hands constantly full and really pride ourselves in our work and quality of products we bring to the table. Once you have tasted the pure sweet local honey that is never imported or purchased elsewhere you know there is no going back to other honeys. 

From our signature wildflower honey, to our infused honey collection, candles, and lots more. We aim to be a local one stop shop for all things bee related, for those bee and honey fans you know and love.   

And last but certainly not least, we must introduce Graham's sister, Christina. Christina is now our market lady. Everyone who meets her falls for her enthusiastic nature. She can answer most of your honey related questions, while graham and I are working at home and caring for our little beekeeper in training.
